The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), located in New Delhi put out an official notice about the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) application form for December 2023. This notice should come out on their website, ctet.nic.in, sometime in October or November 2023. If you want to become a teacher and need a TET e-certificate you can apply online when CBSE announces this officially.

The exact date for the December 2023 Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is not confirmed by CBSE, New Delhi. But is to happen in January or February 2024, and it will be an in-person exam, not online. If you want to take the CTET in December 2023, remember that it will be a 2 hours and 30 minutes long written test. Your have to answer 150 multiple-choice questions from different subjects, and each question is worth 1 point.
CTET Eligibility Criteria December 2023
To take the CTET in December 2023:
For Paper I (teaching classes I to V): You need 12th grade with 50% marks and a 2-year DElEd or 4-year BElEd.
For Paper II (teaching classes VI to VIII): You need a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and a 2-year DElEd, 4-year BElEd, 2-year B.Ed., or 4-year BA/BSc.BEd.
There’s no age limit for both papers.
CTET 2023 Application Fee
For CTET 2023:
- If you are General or OBC (NCL) candidate and you want to take only Paper I, it will cost you ₹1000. If taking both Paper I & II, it will cost ₹1200.
- If you are a SC, ST, or Differently Abled Person candidate and you want to take only Paper I, it will cost you ₹500. If you are taking both Paper I & II, it will cost ₹600.
- You can pay this fee online using a debit or credit card when you apply.

To apply for CTET in December 2023:
- Go to ctet.nic.in, which is the official CTET website.
- On the website, click “Apply Online.”
- If you are new, sign up with your name, birthdate, mobile number, and email. If you already have an account, log in using your Registration Number and Password.
- Fill out the CTET December 2023 application form accurately with your personal and educational information.
- Follow the instructions to upload scanned copies of required documents, including your photo and signature.
- Pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card, and choose your fee category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.).
